Uru Sports is taking a womens "world team" to Tokyo to compete in the Gryphon Tokyo Cup March 1st – March 3rd.

We are honored and stoked to offer this opportunity to our Uru Athletes.

Who's playing in the Cup?

This year Gryphon is opening the cup up to four womens teams, one being the Uru Sports World Team. The Uru World Team will have athletes playing from all across the world. Meet some of the athletes below!

Marcelle Keet

Former South African field hockey star. Field hockey also took her to live in Holland while she played for Klein Zwitserland Club.


Rushna Khan

Currently, Pakistan's National Goal Keeper who is playing a club field hockey season in Sydney.


Naomi Evans

Former Hockeyroo and current member of the Australian Squad. She played for Surbiton in England for 2 club seasons and was a 2 x National Champion there. 


Ally Hammel

Multi-time University All-American, former Boston University athlete and captain, current member of the USA Development Squad. 


Play high level hockey in Japan

As we are competing against elite local Japanese Teams and a Gryphon team from Australia. Our team will have a mix of players from many countries and vibes.

Experience Tokyo

You won’t just be a classic tourist as we will be shown the city by the Japanese team and have a tournament wide sushi and sake night!
